²⁷ So Methuselah lived 969 years, and he died.

²⁸ When Lamech had lived 182 years, he became the father of a son. ²⁹ He gave him the name Noah. He said, “This one will give us rest from our work, from the hard work of our hands because the ground was cursed by the Lord.”
